Caterwauling

I need to make better decisions about setting my Legacy contact.

The question I have asked myself every day since the first time I turned down that other job offer is back again today.

How did I throw away a chance to get away from all these thousand-step processes that don’t let me do what I do best? Twice?!

No wonder my last boss hid in his office all day and said no to every request. He didn’t want to waste his time.

Problem was, he didn’t do anything at all, to my knowledge.

I need to find a happy medium between doing a ton of unnecessary crap because of unnecessary systems, with folks who simply cannot remember all the steps, and actually actively liking this experience.

So we have to write dumber to not provide so much competition. 

Now we have to talk dumber too. 

And to be told this in public is an awful lot like trump saying he’s under investigation and his lawyer telling us we read that tweet wrong. Like, is everyone hearing this?!?

Appropriation, yes. But this is what my soul is screaming.

If it is not your priority to help me understand something you want, it is not my priority to help you achieve it.

At least, I keep telling myself that. Now to figure out what on earth is actually happening. 

That moment when all the weird shit adds up. And when you have to sit around and wait for someone to think enough of you to honor your relationship enough to talk to you like a grown adult. 

To be fair, in all my sleuthing (and I’ve done a bunch), I had come to a different conclusion than the one I’m waiting to hear. The mystery has been fun while it lasted. But I’m still going to end up throttling someone. But the “who” likely changes. 

When really mean, entitled folks are enjoying themselves and they probably forget how they treated people far less lucky. 

Apparently I talk a lot more when anxiety isn’t crippling me. Or so I’m told. Some folks forgot I have a voice.
