Back in the saddle again

I’m feeling a weird combination of elatedness and headachiness tonight. The happy feeling is of course because I got something I really wanted. The achy feeling comes from cramming too damned much information in my head in a really short time. I am going to need to find room to hold lots more in the coming weeks. Damn it — I just hope I don’t forget all the lyrics to every Melissa Etheridge song ever written, although that would free up perhaps gigabytes of brainpower if that were to occur. 😉

The upside
1. I. Love. Everybody. There!
2. They seem to like/respect me too!
3. I have somewhere to wear my good clothes. 😉
4. It’s a new start in an environment that feels right.
5. Lots to learn.
6. Good learning curve.
7. I will grow alongside others who are capable of giving direction.
8. It’s everything I wanted and oh so much more!

The downside
1. The commute to East Jabip (particularly the Beltway).
2. I have to Dress Up. Like, every freaking day. No jeans, ever!!!
3. I foresee having a challenging time learning the subject matter.
4. A Really Good freelance gig just surfaced, but I doubt I’ll have time/energy to do it right now.
5. I don’t do Windows. Piece-of-shit PC. Bah. Who do I have to kill to get a Mac?

That’s totally it. Clearly, upsides kick downsides’ collective ass.

And it’s about friggin’ time. 🙂

On iTunes: Simon & Garfunkel, “Hazy Shade of Winter”

Hee hee. I feel so in the know!

Welcome to the neighborhood, darling. I can help you with those subject matter concerns…I’ve been translating this garbage into plain English for over three years now.

And my office? Is also Bitch Session Central. Bring donuts.

Ooh, Dawn I’m so excited for you. Something has to go right for somebody.

(And I’m excited you’ve got an RSS feed now, too.)
