1. What is the last movie you saw in a theater?
“The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”

2. If you could create your own reality TV show, what would it be?
Something dealing with anger management — I would love to watch people beating each other with foam bats. You wouldn’t even need a plot!

3. What was your favorite Crayola crayon color?
Tickle Me Pink (for the name). When I was a kid, I loved Hot Magenta.

4. When it comes to chocolate, do you prefer dark of milk?
Dark. The new dark chocolate M&Ms? Long overdue. I could use some right now. …

5. How old were you when you had your first kiss?
Eight. I kissed Timmy Bower during a class movie in the second grade. The teacher totally threw me out of the classroom and made me sit in the empty classroom across the hall and do extra work. I was such a dork — I was happier doing the project than watching the film!

6. If you could be a fly on the wall during a major historical meeting, which one would you choose to observe?
I’d love to go meet the brainiacs who have drafted so much hate-filled legislation, but alas, if I’m a fly, then that means I can’t be holding a two-by-four when I hear phrases like “sex is between a man and a woman only,” etc. I don’t know — I would’ve loved to see Shrub Senior throw up on the prime minister of Japan. I have high aspirations like that. 😉

7. What is something you do for the benefit of others?
Not kill them I get over things very quickly and extend forgiveness when it is requested (and even when it’s not). I smile even when I’m not feeling it — I’m not the only person who has hard days, and sometimes a random smile from someone can turn my day around, so I try to do that for others, in turn.

8. Have you ever had a dirty dream about someone you know online?
Heh. That answer is an unequivocal YES … and wouldn’t YOU like to know who?!?!

9. You have $50 to spend on lunch. Where do you go and what do you eat?
Buffet lunch at a strip club Actually, I’d love to try McCormick & Schmick’s for a decent filet mignon or Chilean sea bass.

10. Do you have any nicknames?
Not anymore. 😉

1. Do you own any power tools?
Care to elaborate on what kind? 😉 My neighbor dropped by yesterday to see if I had electricity in the bedroom/bathroom (’cause he didn’t). My electricity was fine (although my oven doesn’t work. Go figure), and I had some, uh, power tools very visibly lying around. He tried very hard not to notice. 😉

2. Did you pass your driver’s test on your first try?
Hell no. I was relying on Mom and me both wearing short skirts (that’s how you passed at the center I chose), but leave it to me to get a woman cop with no sense of humor. I’d only driven twice before I took the test (I’d aced the written part, though). My friends had told me the steps of the test in order, and the cop confused me by cutting out a step I was already prepared to do. So, the car went up on a curb and she screamed, “YOU. FAIL!!!” Then she yelled at my mom, “GET THIS CAR OFF OF THIS CURB!” I passed the second time around — I didn’t drive at all between the first and second tests, but I did way better. And, I had a nice male cop who appreciated two women in short skirts. 😉 I remember him telling me I could drive faster than the posted speed limit!

3. Would you rather have a constant itch or a constant headache?
The headache. Actually, I’ve lived with tension headaches and now I have a banging toothache, so the feeling of someone tapping a nail into the back of my eyeball isn’t exactly an unfamiliar one. At least you can drug yourself for a headache!

4. What color looks best on you?
I love to wear black, although I found myself doing a full load of pink laundry last night. But my best colors are blues and greens — they help my eyes to pop.

5. List 3 foods you don’t eat.
Onions, although I can deal with them fried or diced into miniscule pieces. I would gander that I don’t necessarily hate any food but, rather, the way it is prepared at certain food establishments.

6. In the shower, do you use bar soap or liquid soap?
Liquid. Right now, it’s Bath and Body Works’ aromatherapy line — the eucalyptus-spearmint. Usually, I use the blue Softsoap for Men — I love men’s scents more than women’s.

7. When is the last time your rode a bike?
I had a Sweet Thunder 2 and I was the SHIT, I tell you! Pink and white streamers and a little white basket with pink flowers. Damn, I rocked at age 8. I had just learned how to ride without training wheels when we moved to a place without a driveway, and my family gave away the bike because I wasn’t allowed to ride on the street. I hated them for that.

8. Have you signed the petition over at one.org yet?
Yes, although my passions are for more domestic poverty issues. Like, where was the fucking system when I had nowhere to turn?

9. Have you ever had braces?
Nope.

10. If you could re-live one year of your life, which year would it be?
1984. Something very bad happened to me that year that has caused me recurring grief every day of my life, and I’d love to go back WITH HINDSIGHT and try to prevent it.

1. What kind of lip balm do you use?
At my desk at work, I have about nine different tubes of tinted lip gloss, not to mention some tubes in my car, on my keyboard at home, stuffed in various bags and purses, etcetera. I will tell you my favorite, though — Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer in the nutmeg color. It’s got peppermint oil in it and makes my lips all tingly as well as shimmery.

2. Do you wear sunblock everyday?
I don’t go near the sun — I’m Irish. I practically get freckles through my jackets! Until they make an SPF 420, nothing would be strong enough to protect me.

3. Have you ever had your eyelashes tinted?
Nope. But I do use volumes of jet-black mascara.

4. Do you drink diet beverages?
Pretty much exclusively. I’m chugging a Diet A&W right now. That’s to make up for the ice cream addiction.

5. What’s your favorite Girl Scout Cookie?
Tagalongs — I *~*heart*~* chocolate and peanut butter.

6. Do you like to get dressed up for formal events?
Oh hell yeah. I have dresses with tags on them, just waiting for an event to surface. Like I wouldn’t use that as an excuse, though, to go out shopping for something new. Look, I hate dressing up for work, and I love my jeans and trendy T-shirts, but I absolutely adore pulling out all the stops to look fabulous for a big event.

7. Do you sing in the shower?
I think you’d better ask my neighbors that one. 😉 Wait — don’t! I LOVE to belt out tunes in the shower as well as in the car (preferably with the sunroof and other windows open).

8. How did Katie Holmes get all those nasty sores on her mouth?
Girlfriend is LYIN’ about being a virgin — she probably found herself a nice tranny in a club like all the stars seem to be doing these days. (*cough cough Tommy Lee cough cough*)

9. If you could go back in time to live in any historical period, which one would you choose?
Back? Oh HELL no — I want to go to the future. UNLESS … I would want to emerge as a writer around the time of Anais Nin and Henry Miller — I’d want to be in Paris with them (or maybe even Ernest Hemingway) — back when all the “great” writers (in my opinion) emerged. Back before everyone was a publisher (e.g., on the Web), there were amazing writers who chose their words with care because all they had were cranky typewriters and diaries — no white out, no delete key, no automatic grammar/spell check.

10. Ask your own question
Dawn, your birthday’s coming up. What kind of cake do you like?

Mmm, cake. I love cake with white batter. Not yellow batter. Not marble batter. Not chocolate/devil’s food — I hate them all. I only love white cake. If it’s almond-flavored, then all the better. Throw in some strawberries or raspberries or chocolate sauce, then all right. As far as icing, I do not discriminate — I love buttercream or whipped chocolate to complement my white cake. Hell, I can live without the cake if I can just have a vat of icing.

1. What would be your ideal “last meal”?
A bottle cask of Riesling, cheesy potatoes and bloody marys from Jack Stack’s, chicken eggplant pesto and frozen amaretto sours from Alexander’s, pizza from Vinnie’s, chocolate-chip banana pancakes from Pamela’s, a sammich and wings from Fathead’s, sweet potato fries with gorgonzola (in season) from Cap City, and a bacon cheeseburger from Five Guys. Oh, and chocolate/liquor-of-my-choice fondue from the Melting Pot. And about 40 gallons of coffee from Borders, Starbucks and Caribou. Oh, and a chocolate berry basket from Alexandria Pastry Shop.

Yup, all that should kill me. 🙂

2. Do you wear a watch? If so, describe it.
I have 17 silver watches in a drawer with dead batteries. If I want the time, then I glance at my cell phone display.

3. When was the last time you made non-microwave popcorn?
College. I had an air popper. Loved that stupid thing till the plastic cracked. We used to use like two sticks of butter for every five kernels popped — real healthy. LOL.

4. Would you rather shove your arm into a beehive or shove it into a scorpion pit?
Beehive, thanks. There’s at least a chance of it not being a deadly experience.

5. What’s one thing you feel you really must do before you die?
To be absolutely, 100 percent myself — saying and doing whatever I damn well please — without fear of repercussion. I guess that’s what old age is for. 😉

6. Why haven’t you done it yet?
Because every time I realize that I am fabulous, something happens or someone manages to ruin it for me. That, and most people don’t laugh with you when you say “Bite me.”

7. Do you take a multi-vitamin?
Yup. Olay. Supposed to be for healthy skin, but tell that to my pre-teen-esque complexion.

8. Are you going to any weddings this summer?
Not this summer. I was a bridesmaid last summer, though.

9. Do you have any online “wish lists”?
Amazon.com. Also, I’ve gotten hooked on 43 Things, which is where you list what you want to do with your life.

10. What would you rather be doing right this very second?
Starring in a porno.
